Easy Rubric for Speaking Tasks

• We will have speaking topics at least 2x per week.
• You will have an opportunity to say as much as possible during a 5 minute period.
• I will mark on my chart everytime a student attempts to speak.
• No student will be picked twice before other volunteers that have not spoken yet.

PER CLASS PERIOD:

 4 or more attempts= 100
3 attempts - 95
2 attempts - 90
1 attempt - 85
No attempt - 65

• All of these grades will be averaged at the end of the quarter to formulate your 'participation' grade.

• On Fridays, the first 15 minutes of class will be devoted to WRITING as much about the topics we spoke about during the week. Each picture will be projected for 5 minutes. This grade will count equally in the Participation formula.
